Mail Sent To Wrong People... ???

Postby Thog » Wed Jun 17, 2009 7:23 pm

Has anyone had a problem where mail gets sent to the wrong person or even the wrong domain? I'm wondering if it's just me or a memory problem or something. For instance the message below was delivered to SOMEONE@enterpreneurs50ansetplus.com which is forwarded to a GMAIL address which it obviously was not supposed to go to since you can clearly see the TO address is someone from yahoo.fr and not another user from the server...

Dear Mustapha BOUAKLINE

Have you ever noticed that the aroma of coffee is as alluring as perfume, even if you don’t drink coffee? There is something about the richness of it that gives us a feeling of comfort, of well being. Boy, in this economic climate those feelings are few and far between. But they don’t have to be.

This is quite common of SPAM mail, and the mail does indeed appear to be SPAM. What SPAM often does is fake the sender and even often the to address to enable it to get through to actual recipients. This isn't anything you should worry about and simply just try to configure the SPAM filters on AMS if you haven't already.
