Large number of recipients question

Our Sales staff wants to send a special offer to a large number of recipients. We use Outlook and they want to BCC about eight hundred recipients in the same message. They would only be doing this once a week or so.

My questions are:

1) Can the Ability mail server handle this?
2) Do I need to change or check any settings in the AMS?
3) Does this put our domain in danger of being blacklisted?

Many thanks in advance. I've tried to find the answers myself but have come up empty.

Scott

Ability Mail Server can indeed handle this but we highly recommend you use a built in mailing list to do this as it's much more efficient and reliable against outlook timeouts etc. Simply create a mailing list, change the trigger password, then send just one email to the mailing list address with the trigger password in the subject. The trigger phrase will be automatically stripped out and all of your email addresses will be hidden from each other more securely. There is no reason why you would be black listed unless you relayed all of these through a 3rd party mail server. Otherwise many emails will go to several different domain mail servers causing no problems.
