Which condition triggered a content filter ?

Which condition triggered a content filter ?

Postby ChrisP » Thu Dec 03, 2009 8:13 pm

Hi,

I have setup a bunch of content filters which redirect any incoming mail if their subject/Sender/etc. header lines match certain well known blue pills or watch manufacturers, etc.

I am getting mail in the redirect destination folder that appears to have been incorrectly filtered. Is there a way that I can tell which substring entry actually triggered the rule to redirect the mail ?

Thanks
Chris

Unfortunatly there isn't a way to find out which substring triggered, other than manually looking at the mail source or seperating the conditions into seperate rules. Content filtering can of course be quite complicated and so often care should be taken in the logic behind your rules.
