Postby saguaro » Wed Nov 06, 2013 9:43 pm

hi

i have 2 AMS on 2 different sites , one is primary and second is backup , i am using only one at a time , and have mx record setup mail.server.com and mail2.server.com , now i want to get signed cert , so do i need 2 separate certificates one for each site or can i use wildcard cert , like *.server.com, mail*.server.com?

thanks

Probably a question to confirm with the certificate issuer but generally the common name of the certificate must match the domain you're accessing on to be trusted. Possibly you can get one with a wildcard that supports multiple subdomains but check with the certificate issue for clarification on this.
