currently we dont have to see the traffic of individual domains and users
it will be nice if ams 3 is powered with traffic meter for mailboxes and domains.

We are hoping to add a much improved logging and monitoring system to AMS3 that will allow this and much more.

Programs like for instance AWStats should be capable of being re-configured within mail-mode to be able to make this happen as well. I'm currently working on this myself soon as we want to intergrate per domain and overall reports.

If I have a working setup I can report this if you want.

By all means do share anything you find compatible with AMS logging for other users to try.

Seems the AWStats approach for this does not work properly, it fails to go through the filtering properly as it does not adhere to the standards integrated into AWStats for mail logging.

As far as I am aware Chris, this hasn't happened. When is this on the release track?

This is something we added to Ability FTP Server 2 with plans of adding to Ability Mail Server. However, the next version of Ability Mail Server will be an even newer fully web based re-write of the entire mail server using all the latest .Net technologies. However, this is a massive project that won't be available for some time yet. In the mean time we'll continue development on AMS 3 alongside the new re-write.

I hope you integrate logging in such a way that programs like AWStats can handle it, this would be a big plus for the software.

We are planning to put all logging into a database in the next version to allow custom SQL queries to be run against the database as well as tools within the software.
