AMS Service Watchdog

Hello,

It would also be very good if there was a 'second' application running which would act as a watchdog for the main AMS service therfore if AMS did crash or if the service was stopped for some reason it would automatically be restarted.

Thank you for suggestions. This is certainly in our plans for AMS 3.xx. Basically we will be splitting the software into 3 parts, a remote admin interface which will provide full control via an application from any computer connecting via the network, the main application and a small control application which will manage and ensure the main application is running at all times.

You could also do this in the Services MMC, going to the properties of Ability mail server and then on the "Recovery" tab there are some settings that allow Windows to automatically restart services which failed to work properly.
