Exceded concurrent connections

Has anybody seen this error before:
Rejected with: 421 concurrent connections limit in avast exceeded(pass:0, processes: Ability Mail Server 2.exe[20])
Is this a common problem with Avast? Any other recommendations for running on Windows 2003

Most antivirus command line scanners have a limit on the number of concurrent connections (instances running) that they allow. There is an overall Max Simultaneous Scans option in the AMS antivirus filtering options page which allows you to limit how many simultaneous connections to your antivirus scanner that Ability Mail Server will allow to avoid going beyond its allowed limit. Try to find out how many simultaneous command line scans AVAST allows and enter this in the AMS antivurus filtering setting Max Simultaneous Scans. The error seems to indicate 20 AMS processes so if you can't find a definite limit in the AVAST manuals I would suggest that 20 is the limit and to set this as the Max Simultaneous Scans in AMS antivirus fitlering settings.
