Send Mail Issues

i can recieve mail fine from anywhere, but i cant send mail to anyone but to my mail server domains, any suggestions?

Mail server domains are delievered internally and should always work. External domains require a DNS server to look them up and this is usually the problem area. In the Outgoing Mail settings, press the Test DNS and Test Outgoing Route buttons to check for any obvious problems.

outgoing is all fine, complete with no errors, i get the HOP error to many hops to send bull,

Hops are the count of how many mail servers have recieved and forwarded the mail. Having too many hops usually indicates an infinite mail loop in the system that if not stopped by this error may continue forever. Mail loops are usually caused by DNS records or antivirus / anti-SPAM feeding mail back into the original mail server over and over. Local DNS servers can also cause this. Try using your ISPs DNS servers and disable any local antivirus / anti-SPAM software to see if the mail is then delivered successfully. Try to identify which bit caused the loop and fix it. If it still remains check the DNS (MX) records of the domain being sent to to see why it may be feeding back into the sending mail server.

have a lexmark MFP x940e. The MFP trace shows device is behaving correctly. We are sending
out the EHLO command but never receive a response from the SMTP server.
Finally, we QUIT the conneciton because the server is not responding. The
server trace shows that are EHLO packet never arrives at the server. This
leads the server to timeout as well.

Everything else on the network works, printers, pcs, email, all except email from MFP. Any ideas on what we can try?

This sort of thing is normally caused by antivirus / anti-SPAM / router software intercepting, changing and forwarding SMTP conversations. This can interfere with and sometimes prevent mail delivery so try to turn off any mail scanning options for these software. In particular, Cisco routers have an SMTP gateway option that if enabled will break SMTP communication when using SMTP authentication (ESMTP/EHLO) since the gateway software doesn't support SMTP authentication and forwards a non-ESMTP response instead which of course won't be authenticated.

here is a log of my errors on out going mail, i cant send mail, only to my own domain i tried everything to get this working but i cant, PLEASE help

The hops are counted by the number of Received header lines in the mail when received. These are added each time a mail server receives the mail to show its route. Your hop count limit here is 30 and has been exeeded at 31 which is way more hops than normal and would normally indicate a mail loop causing the mail to either bounce infinitely between 2 mail servers or feed back into the same mail server due to bad DNS MX records or antivirus / anti-SPAM / router software redirecting outgoing mail back into the source mail server. Check the email's Received header lines from the source view in WebMail to see what route is occuring to try to prevent the mail loop.

Also, the sender domain is your primary domain for your Ability Mail Server and one problem is that there are no MX records for this domain. Every domain for mail hosted email addresses should have at least one MX record pointing to the domain's mail server IP.
