Unable to obtain any valid MX records for the domain

Hi there,

It doesn't sound like an AMS issue, but maybe I'm wrong, so here it is..

I have a user whose getting all emails he sends to a particular address bounced back with the above message (Unable to obtain any valid MX records for the domain). The recipient says that his mailbox works just fine and that my user is the only one who can't reach him..

Does this make sense? What should I check?

Should I send you the domain name? PM is better for that?

That is a common error for domains that naturally dont have any MX records setup, if you would like to email me the offending domain to rob@Code-crafters.com I will test this out. In the meantime, you should perform a test on the system using the Tools section of the AMS settings. These will test to ensure your DNS system is working correctly. Ultimately, you can always create a static route which will send mail to that domain, or try enabling the various additional Outgoing Mail delivery optoins (such as try parent MX).
