SMTP service stops working

Hi everybody.
We changed the old server on wich AMS was running to a Win2008 R2, fully updated and brand-new server.
Since then, SMTP service goes down every 5-7 minutes, and after 1 or 2, it comes up again.

This new server also has been running web, ftp and dns services for about a year now, and we never had any problems.
Strange thing is that IMAP, POP3, remote admin and others run without problems. I would expect all AMS services go down at the same time. That would tell me something. But this...

I don't know where to look, and this is driving us and all our users crazy.
