WebMail port

Is it possible to reconfigure WebMail to use port 80 rather than 8000? When I make the change to port 80 (on the WebMail settings page), I get an alert message "Unable to open WebMail port."

It is indeed possible, but if you already have something running on port 80 (the error message would indiciate such) then this may be a bit more difficult to achieve. Most likely you have a web server running on your computer and if this isn't needed, then you can simple disable and unload the web server software, which would then free up the port for WebMail. Alternatively, you can try to share the port using a few tricks outlined here...
