Services Appear Offline

Postby cwlawrence » Tue Nov 04, 2008 3:39 am

Hi,

I am new to AMS so this might be a silly question.

I have just set up our server and everything is functioning as normal, however some services say Offline. Is this normal?

Thanks,

Lawrence

If you have the standard version I think that would be normal. Those services are not included.
Here is a comparision of versions and features. Check it with what you ordered.

It is worth the extra investment to move to the enterprise leve just for the anti spam components.

Good Luck

1. Have you enabled them in the settings? each of those has a set of settings and a tick box to enable it.
2. Have you got any other mail server running which may be using these ports? this is another opportunity for these parts not to initialise.

I will have a look at the settings.

My main question is everything seems to be working correctly.

If these things are disabled, shouldn't I be seeing some problems?

m1byo is right on the things to check for. Either your license doesn't allow these services or they're just disabled. Either way your other services will see no problems. Just the disabled services aren't available.
