Does the Sender Domain Check only affect locally hosted email domains.

What happens for Alias and Backup Domains??

Yes, Sender Domain Check only affects locally hosted domains within your AMS. However, I think that alais and backup domains are excluded from this since they are usually forwarding services for accounts stored externally.
