Whitelist still scored

Whitelist still scored

Postby sillyme » Wed Sep 19, 2007 3:36 pm

Noticed that domains in the white list (*@domain.ocm) are still being checked by the filter. There is a sample from the smtp log below.

For now I have duplicated the white list in the content filter to clear the spam flag.

I have checked the update link and it responds that it is current.

Thanks

There was a bug in the initial release of Ability Mail Server 2.60. This has since been fixed and a new version 2.60.2 is available. You can upgrade via the main admin status dialog Help button then Update button or download the latest version directly from http://download.code-crafters.com/ams.exe. The version number in the application and update log will still appear as 2.60 but you can see from the executable file's right click properties that the file version is 2.6.0.2.

I already used the help/update button and it says I have the current version.

I downloaded the ams.exe file - properties show the version as 0.0.0.0 and if I click the file version in the bottom box it is blank.

I have installed it anyway adn will let you know if it still happens.

Thanks

It is still score after installing the file in your link. I installed around 10:335 my time and here is a recent log.

The ip white list is working fine.

If it helps I had this problem and installed the fix right after the last update. It was working fine. Since it looked like you were putting interm updates out i checked using the help/update buttons about once a week. There was one update that downloaded and installed since the original fix you gave me.

Thanks

The Ability Mail Server 2.exe is the file with the file version 2.6.0.2 in it. Its possible that this still requires further testing and tweaking. I will retest this and if necessary fix it for the next update.

Hello,

I have included *@code-crafters.com into the spam whitelist and I am getting the following entries in the log file, leading to all the forum notifications being moved to my junk folder:

I am assuming it is the same problem as sillyme's posts!

Yes, this is the same issue. Work on version 2.61 is starting today and this is top of the list of things to be fixed in the next update. For now, you can use content filtering to remove the SPAM flag and move mail back into the Inbox for equivalent content filter conditions to those used in SPAM White Listing.

This issue has now been fixed and will be available when version 2.61 is released in several weeks time. Only the SMTP sender / recipient white list conditions didn't correctly stop Bayesian from being evaluated which is why it was missed in testing before. There were also a couple of other SPAM filters that weren't correctly skipped by relaying exemption and white listing, all of which have been fixed for the next update.
