Upgrading AMS 2.72

Upgrading AMS 2.72

Postby waterman34 » Sat Nov 30, 2013 11:52 am

I'm trying to upgrade AMS on our server to the latest version and even though I'm saving the backup file to a 2nd hardrive installed on the server, whilst backing up all the config/users/mail etc the backup process seems to be utilising all the available space on the drive it's installed within and crashing the backup.

The drive is Software (E:) with about 3gb of space, but when backing up too Backup (H:) the space on E drive is reduced to zero and it crashes so two questions, firstly why is it using up the free space on E: when we're backing up to H:? and secondly how can we stop it happening so we can complete the backup and upgrade AMS?

Instead of the backup tool you can simply copy the entire config folder to another location to backup. Similarly you can copy this to AMS 3 installations to transfer all your settings and mails or use the built in migration tool on first setup or from the tools menu in AMS 3 to transfer everything.
