Crash caused by LIBEAY32.dll in 3.1.5

Crash caused by LIBEAY32.dll in 3.1.5

Postby HVGS » Fri Jan 30, 2015 6:01 am

Since updating to version 3.1.5, I am seeing the following error randomly that crashes Ability.
This is happening on more than one server and seems to be load related to an extent.
On the server with more load it generally crashes once a day or so. But have seen it crash twice in quick succession.

Any ideas ?

Thanks
Phil

Did you allow the update to re-install the C++ redistributable runtime? If not then the version of the dlls available won't be right. Try re-installing again including the C++ runtime. We're running this version with no crashes at all yet.

Not 100% sure about the runtime. I have reinstalled on the heaviest loaded server (runtime definitely installed this time).

Will see how it goes.

Thanks

Sorry to report that installing the runtime did not fix the issue. We are still getting the same error in this module.

This is on a heavily loaded server i.e 300+ concurrent IMAP connections

Try uninstalling all versions of the C++ redistirbutable and re-installing 3.1.5 again to make dead sure the right version is being used. Libeay32.dll is OpenSSL and it's the only thing that relies on the C++ redistributable being the correct version.
