Sophos AV on my windows 2000 server running under VMware on my debian box. has detected the sus/compack-c virus infecting Ability Mail Server2.exe

this basically says check the file is a virus.

it appears that both my live copy and the backup copy (not running) of Ability Mail Server2 are infected with the same thing. Is anyone else getting this error?

Reinstall the software to replace the file. If the antivirus still thinks that it is a virus then it is probably mistaken and you may want to try switching to another antivirus software to use with Ability Mail Server. You should also note that on a mail server we recommend that you disable any background scanning with antivirus software and use the mail servers built in command line scanner integration to scan files that the mail server requests instead.
