Ability 2 and vBulletin

Hi i'm having some trouble getting the mail server to work with my vBulletin board, its all set up to use the server but when it sends mail i just get a blank screen, i don't get an error or a success page it just seems to hang and never send!

i've tried this with the Microsoft SMTP and vBulletin works fine but i can't get it to work with the Ability Server

Any thoughts?!?

The first thing I would check is to see if the mails are actually hitting the mail server, and this can be done by simply examining the SMTP logs. If they are, then a common problems is that the mails are refused if they are not directed at a local account. The solution is to simply allow the web servers IP through for relaying (or if both web and mail server are on the same computer, allow all local IP's as safe). These settings can be found on the Relay Access tab of the SMTP service settings.
