Change from the default data store

Change from the default data store

Postby rossplews » Tue May 20, 2008 11:11 am

Hi,

I am running out of space in the default data store for mail in "accounts\config". Can someone tell me how to migrate this to another disk D:\Mail Store. Can I just copy the contents of the original folder and update the path in the config menus.

Any help appreciated....

You can move the entire accounts root path in the general settings to a new location. You can individually move a full domain to a new location and even specify multiple folders for a domain so that new users are placed evenly across these folders for load sharing on networks / multiple mail servers. You can also if you really want just move an individual user or mailing list to its own separate location using the appropriate file path settings in each of these areas within the software. Obviously you have to also physically move the folder contents too.

If you want access a network drive you need to go into control panel -> administrative tools -> services and right click properties for the Ability Mail Server service to configure it to log in with an administrator account rather than the default login to give the application network permissions.
